The Buddhist kingdom hosts a variety of vibrant Tshechu, or festivals, in its monasteries, dzongs, and temples. As per certain beliefs, everyone should attend at least one Tshechus in their lifetime to gain blessings from the divine when they visit Bhutan. Not only does this grand festival gather a large crowd, but you also get to witness the traditional dances, receive blessings, and socialize with the locals and other travelers. The best time to experience the cultural legacy of the Land of Thunder Dragons is to visit Bhutan during the Thimphu festival.
