Day 1 |
Arrive at ColomboThe representatives will transfer the tourists from Colombo airport to their hotels. Check-in and relax. The Colombo city is the busiest place in Sri Lanka and attracts both business people and tourists. The place is famous for its shopping streets, Bazaars, and cultural buildings like temples, churches, and monasteries. Spend the night at Colombo. |
Day 2 |
Enroute DambullaDambulla is 190kms away from Colombo and can be reached within 4 hours via road. Dambulla cave temple is a must-visit and comes under the UNESCO world heritage site. The temple was established by the hermit monks in the 1st century BC. The temple is protected and kept dry by a large rock which acts as the ceiling. The temple is beautifully painted and pictures of Buddha, goddesses, and monks, adorn the stone walls. Check in to the hotel in Dambulla and stay overnight. |
Day 3 |
Explore Sigiriya and PolonnaruwaAfter an early breakfast, head to Sigiriya. The rock fortress in Sigiriya was built in the 5th century and offers a beautiful view. Take a relaxing walk through the lush green gardens surrounding it. Have lunch at the Sigiriya rest house and head to Polonnaruwa. Polonnaruwa was the ancient capital and is a UNESCO world heritage site. Visit the Minneriya National Park, which houses countless elephants, reptiles, birds, and other creatures. Witness some colorful and unique animals, and birds enjoy the afternoon safari. Head to the hotel for an overnight stay. |
Day 4 |
Visit Anuradhapura and MihintaleAnuradhapura houses many ancient religious buildings and stupas which showcase the Buddhist culture and its history. After Anuradhapura, a visit to Mihintale will give you a spiritual and peaceful experience. Mihintale is a mountain peak, situated near Anuradhapura. Head back to the hotel and overnight stay. |
Day 5 |
Head to Matale then, KandyAfter breakfast at the hotel, head to Matale. Sri Lanka is famous for spice plantations, and Matale has a spice garden where tourists can learn about different spices and how they are grown. After a small stop at Matale, head to the city of Kandy. Kandy is a famous tourist attraction as it houses interesting museums, the infamous Sacred Tooth temple, and many other picturesque places. Visit the temple which houses the Sacred tooth relic of Buddha and experience serenity. Enjoy the evening and stay overnight at a hotel in Kandy. |
Day 6 |
Journey to Nuwara EliyaHave breakfast at the hotel and head to the botanical garden in Kandy. The beautiful flowers, bushy trees, and the lush-green plants give you a tranquil experience. There are seating spaces provided under the trees to shade you from the heat. On the way to Nuwara Eliya, a stop to appreciate the majestic Ramboda waterfalls. Arrive at Nuwara Eliya, which is a beautiful hill-station providing scenic views and a great climate. Spend the night at Nuwara Eliya. |
Day 7 |
Explore the Horton PlainsThe Horton plains are beautifully green, and the climate is soothing. Take a ride through the dense forests to the Horton plains. The Horton plain is huge and is considered one of the highest peaks in Sri Lanka. Enjoy a peaceful day, and head back to the hotel. Night stay at Nuwara Eliya. |
Day 8 |
Head to Yala via EllaThe next stop on the Sri Lanka tour is Yala. Yala is around 165 km (4 hours) away from Nuwara Eliya, and on the way, a stop is made at Ella. Ella houses a beautiful and majestic waterfall named Ravana after the evil king who abducted Sita. According to Hindu mythology, Ravana imprisoned Sita in the cave near the waterfall. Proceed to Yala. Yala is rich in wildlife and houses many unique animals and birds. The place also has many colorful cave temples. Check in to the hotel and spend the night. |

Yala national parkEnjoy the day at Yala national park and explore the wildlife and participate in numerous fun activities |
Day 10 |
Visit the beautiful GalleHave breakfast at the hotel, and the Sri Lanka tour continues. Take the trip towards Galle. Galle is 4 hours away from Yala. Galle was occupied by Dutch in the 17th century and till date shows resemblance to the Dutch culture. The place is beautiful and offers a glorious view of the sunset across the Indian Ocean. Spend the day traversing through the streets of Galle and spend the night. |
Day 11 |
Enjoy the day at GalleVisit the Galle fort built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. Visit the fort during sunrise or sunset for a memorable experience. Enjoy the fresh air and relax. The town also houses churches, mosques, narrow streets, clothing boutiques, and museums |
Day 12 |
Head to ColomboHave breakfast at the hotel and stroll the streets of Galle. Later, head to Colombo to carry out some last-minute shopping. Overnight stay in Colombo. |
Day 13 |
A spiritual dayAfter breakfast, head to some religious places like temples, mosques, and churches. Colombo houses numerous Hindu temples of Ganesh, Karthik, and Shiva. These temples offer a sense of calmness. Visit the oldest Dutch church, Wolvendaal, and the historic Devatgahaha mosque. Visit the national museum to learn more about the history and culture of Sri Lanka. Later, we will drop you at the Colombo airport with the memories of a transcendent Sri Lanka tour. |
