Day 1 |
Welcome to Cape Town Arrival at the airport and check-in at the hotel. Relax for the rest of the day. The evening is well-spent on a cruise. Guests can witness the mesmerizing sunset over the ocean while sipping some sparkling wine. Day 2 |
Exploring Table Mountains After breakfast, head to the Table Mountains (if weather permits). The view from the mountain is breath-taking and is a feast to the eyes. After witnessing the gorgeous view, head to the city for a historical tour. The rest of the day is spent by: Exploring the Two Ocean Aquarium Driving to see the Houses of Parliament, Company Gardens, and Castle of good hope. Heading to Camp's Bay and Sea Point for a scenic ocean view Taking a cruise to seal island to spot seals and sea birds. If time permits, a trip to Victoria and Alfred Waterfront Optional activities: Spend the evening by indulging in a helicopter ride, and it offers a thrilling experience. Day 3 |
Journey to Cape Peninsula Have your breakfast at the hotel and leave for the excursion at 8 am. The day starts with taking a trip to admire the beauty of the Cape Peninsula. Take a journey through the most beautiful routes and pass Hout Bay to reach the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. During summers, there are Cape Fur seals and the rare Black Cormorant leisurely roaming around. If conditions permit, take the Chapman's peak drive route. In spring, the journey to Cape point is filled with colorful wildflowers. Visit the world's largest lighthouse, which has a power of 19 million candles. Later, head to the Penguin colony in Boulders beach and then drive through the historic naval base town. Make sure to spend some time admiring the beauty of the beach and get in the water at least once. Overnight stay in Capetown. |
Day 4 |
Head to Knysna via Gansbaai After an early breakfast, checkout from the hotel. Head to Knysna, and a stop is made on the way to explore Gaansbai. Gansbaai was primarily known as the fishing village. Now, it is a popular tourist destination and lures many travelers every year as it offers shark cage diving Gansbaai. Guests can ride the vessels which leave from Gansbaai's Kleinbaai Harbour. The vessel takes a 20-minute ride in the deep water flowing between two islands, which is thickly inhabited by seals (shark's favorite food). Scan the water to spot the great white sharks. Day 5 |
A trip to Oudtshoorn After breakfast, head to Oudtshoorn to explore Ostrich farms, Cango wildlife, and Cango caves. Cango wildlife trip accommodates more than 90 different species. The best part about this place is people can pet and hold the animals. Cango caves are filled with minerals and are admired for their architecture. Take a step back in history with the help of these caves. Pet, feed, cuddle, and ride Ostriches in the HighGate Ostrich Farm. Enjoy a delectable and hot lunch in the farm. Spend some quality time in the Lagoon and then take John Benn Knysna cruise ride to enjoy the evening. The double-decker cruise offers a memorable dining experience. Day 6 |
Head to Johannesburg Leave Knysna and head towards Johannesburg. Head to Sun-city from Johannesburg. On the way, a stop is made at Lions Park. Spread across 1000 hectares, the park houses many lions and other wildlife animals. Spot lions and other animals, and pet and hold the cubs and play with them.
Proceed to sun-city and check in to the hotel. Sun-city is a luxurious place and offers numerous activities and attractions. The place houses casinos, artificial lakes, shops selling handicrafts and souvenirs, and is also known as "Little Las Vegas." Spend the remaining day leisurely. |
Day 7 |
Enjoying the game drive Head towards Pilanesberg National Park after having an early breakfast. Take the game drive (a type of jungle safari) to spot the Big 5 (lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo) and other animals. Return to Sun-city and choose any leisure activity to spend the remaining day. Golf lovers can play in world-class golf courses whereas thrill-seekers can indulge in adventure sports. Indulge in some casino games or spend time at the family-friendly section by playing games. Try out the Maze of the lost city or simply relax in the Valley of Waves (man-made beach). Night stay at a hotel in Sun-city. |
Day 8 |
Suncity to Johannesburg via Cradle of Humankind South Africa is popular for its history and cultural heritage. The two most famous tourist sites include the Cradle of Humankind (a part of UNESCO world heritage site) and Lesedi Cultural Village. Cradle of Humankind is popular as the oldest relics of mankind were found in its paleontological sites. After exploring the Cradle of Humankind, visit the museum about human evolution. Lesidi village has beautiful homes with thatched roofs. Locals give a warm welcome and guests can take a tour of this village. Guests are treated with songs, dance, and traditional food. Continue the journey towards Johannesburg. Check in to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel. |
Day 9 |
A trip to Nelspruit Half of the day is spent taking the orientation tour of Johannesburg city. Take a drive around the Carlton Centre and its surrounding places. Drive past the Supreme Court and Anglo American's headquarters. After lunch, take a flight to Nelspruit. Nelspruit houses the largest and most popular Kruger National Park. The park is home to many wild animals including the Big Five. Indulge in game drive and spot animals from a close (and safe) distance. Reach Nelspruit and check-in to the hotel/lodge/camp. Spend the evening leisurely. Night stay at Kruger. |
Days 10 -11 |
Exploring the Kruger National Park Enjoy both the days by exploring the wildlife and admiring the beauty of nature. Take the game drive and try spotting the big five. Also keep looking around to spot giraffes, hyena, and zebra. Spot hippos and crocodiles while taking a trip along the river banks. Explore the park and get to learn about the flora and fauna. Have the packed lunches and explore the park further in the evening. Night stay at Kruger. |
Day 12 |
End of South Africa tour The 12-day tour comes to an end. Check out from the hotel and head to Nelspruit Airport. From Nelspruit airport, board on a flight to Johannesburg. From Johannesburg, fly to home or other destination. The 12-day trip provides everlasting and happy memories. |
