Day 1

Arrival at Delhi

You will be received at the Delhi airport by our representative to ensure your smooth check-in into our hotel.

 

The capital city, Delhi, has the power of the central and government. Delhi is a modern city with multiple administrative and state headquarters. It is home to multiple political hubs, financial centers, malls, buildings, highways, and snarling traffic. At the same time, the capital city marks a glorious past with its rich history and aesthetic architectural wonders which marks the presence of several dynasties in the region. Old Delhi serves as an example of the Mughal Rule in India, on the other hand, New Delhi has a modern outlook.

Day 2

Visiting the attractions in Delhi

After your scrumptious breakfast, you can start exploring the beautiful city and visiting its major attractions.

 

The sightseeing destinations of your India Nepal Tour include the following:

Raj Ghat: Located on the banks of river Yamuna, is built in the loving memory of the most iconic freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi. The lawn is surrounded by stones leading to a black platform with flame at the site of cremation.

The Red Fort: The fort was built by the emperor Shah Jahan in 1639. It is built using red sandstone. The Prime Minister delivers his Independence Speech from the Red Fort every year making it the most visible landmark in the city.

Enjoy your auto-rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandi Chowk or the "Silver Square." The vibrant lanes of this part of the city cannot be missed. Chandi Chowk is home to many vibrant bazaars, enjoy the street food while stalling at small stores for artifacts and jewelry. Now proceed towards New Delhi.

 

New Delhi was built by the British as their capital city in the 1930s. You can distinguish New Delhi from Old Delhi due to its colonial influence. Lutyen was commissioned to construct this city imposing the construction of government buildings. Therefore it is sometimes also referred to as Lutyens Delhi.

 

India Gate is a war memorial for soldiers who fought bravely during the First World War and the Anglo-Afghan War. This gate is situated at Rajpath, where the Republic Day celebrations are generally carried out. The Parliament house is where the ministers meet regularly and also the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Mughal Gardens is also situated near the Rashtrapati Bhavan near the Public Gardens.

 

Qutb Minar, built by emperor Qutbuddin Aibak marks the site of the first Muslim rule in the country. The iron tower is unique and has shown no signs of rust since the past years.

 

The Lotus Temple is flower-shaped and open to all for worship. Return to your hotel after a wonderful day of sightseeing.

Day 3

Delhi to Agra by road

After breakfast, you will travel to Agra by road in a comfortable and spacious vehicle.

 

Check into your hotel on arrival.

 

Agra is home to the glorious Taj Mahal, the Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri located on the banks of river Yamuna. Agra forms the tourist hub due to its Mughal attractions, mausoleums, buzzing guides, auto-rickshaws, and many marketplaces.

 

In the evening, enjoy a modern dance performance that will depict the romantic history of the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal was built by the emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Day 4

Agra Sightseeing

Proceed for sightseeing after breakfast.

 

The Agra Fort stands at a distance of 2 and a half km from the Taj Mahal. This was the residence of many emperors of the Mughal Dynasty and it is believed that Shah Jahan spent his last days here with his beloved wife.

 

Later, proceed for lunch and relax for some time.

 

Post lunch, you will proceed for your Heritage Walk with a guide on the other side of the River Yamuna.

 

You can find writings of the Mughal Emperors on the stone on the other side of the Taj Mahal. You would walk amidst various monuments with a stunning view of the Taj Mahal.

 

Enjoy dinner before retiring for the night.

Day 5

Taj Mahal

Begin your day by witnessing the sunrise over the Taj Mahal. Then prepare for your journey to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri and Abhaneri.

 

Fatehpur Sikri was built by Akbar and served as the capital for the Mughal Empire. Visit the Salim Chisti carved with marble which predicts the birth of the heir for the Mughal Empire.

Abhaneri is a village in Rajasthan at a distance of 95km from Jaipur, established by King Samrat Mihir Bhog. Visit the Chand Baori palace where the royals stayed during the summers.

Day 6

Agra to Jaipur by road

The Amber Fort:Situated on a hilltop, this fort was constructed by Man Singh-I in 1591 which was later completed by Jai Singh-I. The Sheesh Mahal is also within the fort. You will surely lose your mind when you visit this fort, with its beautiful interiors.

The City Palace:Built by Sawai Jai Singh, the City Palace has been the home of the Rajasthan Royals for ages. It consists of various pavilions, temples, gardens, and palaces. The City Palace Museum displays a wide range of items and souvenirs used by the royals and kings.

Hawa Mahal:Another architectural wonder of Jaipur is the Hawa Mahal. Its architecture is shaped like a beehive. Later in the afternoon, tour the old bazaars of Jaipur.

Day 7

Fatehpur Sikri and Abhaneri en route

You will be escorted to the airport by our representative to Kathmandu via Delhi. That is your next destination in your India Nepal tour. Our representative will meet you at the airport so that you can check in to the hotel.

Day 8

Jaipur Attractions

Take a morning flight for a majestic view of the Himalayas and Mount Everest.

After breakfast, we continue sightseeing.

Day 9

Jaipur to Delhi to Kathmandu by air

Kathmandu Attractions

After breakfast at the hotel, take a walk through the famous Thamel area and soak in the carnival ambiance.

Later, proceed to the airport to catch your flight to Delhi, from where you may proceed for your onward journey.
