Day 1 |
Arrival at Cochin You will be received by our representative at Cochin International Airport and moved to the hotel. Cochin is a mix of many cultures, you get to explore a diverse and colorful city, covering over 4-5 islands and peninsulas. All the islands are connected by a ferry boat network (jetty). The main attraction of Cochin is none other than Chinese nets dipped into the sea. The journey to Kochi would be incomplete if you haven't watched the popular art form of Kerala- Kathakali dance. In the evening, you will be taken to Cochin Cultural Center to enjoy the popular Kathakali Dance Show.
Kathakali is a classical dance form that traces its origin in Kerala. Watching Kathakali can give you a new experience and also let you imbibe the true essence of Kerala culture. The Kathakali commences with the Kelikutto, which is done to draw the attention of the audience that act is going to begin. After Kelikutto, it is Todayam, in which two allotted characters evoke the blessing of the Divine. Todayam is followed by an entertaining dance session known as purappadu. Once the dance ends, Mel Pada starts where the musicians take the stage and also the audience to a breathtaking musical journey. After the dance show, you will be taken back to a hotel. Overnight will be at the hotel. |
Day 2 |
Cochin After breakfast, you will proceed for a full day city sightseeing tour of Cochin. The main tourist attraction of the day starting from Mattancherry Palace / Dutch Palace, the Paradesi Synagogue, International Pepper Exchange, Chinese fishing nets, the Vasco Da Gama Square, Santa Cruz Basilica, St.Francis Church, VOC Gate to Bastion Bungalow. The old Cochin area is one of the oldest Jewish communities in the world. The Jewish community is still there in the town later came to be known as Jewish Town. Later you will visit the International Pepper Exchange, also located in Jew town. Then you will visit Chinese fishing nets. Documents demand that they were established here between AD 1350 and 1450. Vasco Da Gama Square is the best place to watch the nets being lowered and pulled out of the sea. Marine Drive in Kochi, a favorite hangout place that offers a spectacular view of the backwaters and the Kochi Harbour. In the evening, you will be moved to the Sunset Cruise Ride or Kathakali & Kalaripayattu. Overnight at Cochin. |
Day 3 |
Cochin - Kumarakom (Houseboat Cruise) After breakfast, you will proceed to Kumarakom. Check in to the Houseboat of Kerala Style and go on a leisurely backwater cruise for a day, where you can enjoy the ripples of the water and scenic beauty of the countryside of Kerala. The houseboat with all comforts lets you feel the scenic beauty at your own pace. Lunch will be served on the boat with traditional Kerala cuisine. The boat chef will prepare lunch. Evening tea and snacks would be also served in the houseboat. Dinner and overnight will be at Houseboat. |
Day 4 |
Kumarakom - Munnar After breakfast on the houseboat, you will move to jetty and drive to Munnar. As you reach Munnar, check in to the hotel. You can freshen up and spend the rest of the day relaxing in your room. Munnar is a huge city to explore. There are so many places to visit and to experience. Munnar is a beautiful hill station situated between the three mountains Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala with plenty of tea plantations. The land is known for the famous Neelakurinji. This flower blooms once every twelve years. Munnar is also an ideal spot for trekking. In the afternoon, you will proceed for boating experience at Mattupetty Dam. In Munnar, places like Mattepetty, Munnar Town, Adimali, Chinnar, Marayoor provides you with the best sightseeing areas that include the Tea Gardens, Mattupetty dam, Photo point, Kundala Lake and Dam, Lockhart Gap, the Tata Tea Museum, Pothamedu View Point, and the Echo point. The land is widely known for the exotic flora and fauna. To explore wildlife, you can visit Eravikulam National Park in Rajamala and Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary in Chinnar. The waterfalls in Munnar include Cheeyappara waterfalls and Valara waterfalls in Adimali. Overnight will be at Munnar. |
Day 5 |
Munnar After breakfast, you will be headed to enjoy the sightseeing tour of Munnar visiting. First, you will visit Elephant Lake. Elephant Lake is a picturesque location surrounded by a dam, reservoir, tea plantations, and evergreen forests. Then you will visit the Tata Tea Museum, a favorite tourist spot situated in Munnar of Kerala. It is situated at a distance of about 12 km from Munnar town at the Nallathanni Estate of Tata Tea. Overnight will be at Munnar. |
Day 6 |
Munnar - Madurai Breakfast will be served at the hotel. You will visit the Madurai in Tamil Nadu state and check in the room. The beautiful Meenakshi temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva's consort Parvati. The temple is known for its impressive 12 gopurams. You will attend the evening ‘putting to bed’ ceremony. The main highlight of the tour is watching the evening aarti at Meenakshi Temple. Overnight at Madurai. |
Day 7 |
Madurai After breakfast, you will visit the Sri Meenakshi Amman Temple, Gandhi Museum, Vishnu Temple, Thirumalai Nayak Palace, Thirupparankundram Temple, Vandiyur Mariamman Teppakulam. Overnight will be at Madurai. |
Day 8 |
Madurai - Thekkady After breakfast, you will be taken to coffee plantations near Periyar wildlife sanctuary, one of the major wildlife reserves in India. Periyar wildlife sanctuary includes Indian elephants, wild boars,lion-tailed monkeys, ibex, tigers, leopards and sloth bears. The sanctuary is rich in birdlife like the Great hornbills, kites, darters, herons, egrets, owls, and kingfishers. You can enjoy the thrilling boating experience. Overnight will be in Thekkady. |
Day 9 |
Thekkady In the morning, you will visit spice plantations and on your way back to the hotel, you could stop at the local market and purchase some fragrant spices. The lunch will be provided at the hotel. Afternoon, you get the chance to try the experience of a traditional elephant walk offered by the Periyar National Park. Overnight will be in Thekkady. |
Day 10 |
Thekkady - Marari After breakfast, you will proceed to Marari. Waking up to a sun-dusted sea and sipping a cup of coffee, enjoying the silence is what you want as a beach experience, then Marari Beach is the right choice. On reaching, you will check in to one of the most beautiful beach resorts in Kerala. The beach resort near Marari Beach, a perfect place to relax. The beach resorts in Kerala are generally eco-friendly and have beautiful cottage villas blend subtly into the natural palm-lined surroundings. You can enjoy simple local dishes and fresh seafood. The hotel has a refreshing swimming pool, tennis courts, Ayurvedic spa, and yoga. Overnight will be at Marari. |
Day 11 |
Marari You can enjoy the sun, beach, and Ayurveda. The place provides you a variety of ayurvedic programs, led by the resident doctor at the traditional clinic-like spa. The sunrise hatha yoga lessons are genuine and free. Tennis courts, beach volleyball, clubhouse, and swimming pool are also offered. Overnight will be at Marari. |
Day 12 |
Marari - Cochin - Mumbai In the morning, you will be taken to Cochin airport to take a flight to Mumbai. Once reached, you will be transferred to the hotel and Check-in. The rest of the day will be at leisure. Mumbai is huge with a lot to explore. Overnight will be in Mumbai. |
Day 13 |
Mumbai The day is dedicated to sightseeing. You will visit Gateway of India, Marine Drive, Queen Victoria Terminus, Dhobi Ghat, The Prince of Wales Museum, and the Mani Bhawan. In the evening, enjoy a walk at the Chowpatty beach. You can find the streets with vibrant nightlife on one side and a calm beach on the other side. Overnight will be in Mumbai. |
Day 14 |
Mumbai After breakfast, you continue the sightseeing tour of Mumbai. You will visit the Elephant caves. In the afternoon, you can enjoy street food kebab curry. Then you will have time to shop for gifts for your loved ones. Overnight will be in Mumbai. |
Day 15 |
Departure The tour comes to an end, you will take your flight carrying the timeless memories of God's own country back home.
