Belum-Temengor is the hornbill capital of Peninsular Malaysia — ancient rainforest where all ten of the country's hornbills fly.
A vast tract of ancient lowland rainforest around Lake Temenggor, Belum-Temengor is famous for hosting all ten Malaysian hornbill species, including the spectacular migrating flocks of plain-pouched hornbill. It also holds rafflesia, elephants, and a rich peninsular bird list, explored by boat across the lake and on forest trails.
