Lying between Sabi Sand and Kruger, with the fences down to both, MalaMala is one of the oldest and most storied private game reserves in South Africa — and one of the largest single traverses, held by one operator. That scale and exclusivity mean few vehicles over a great deal of prime, big-game country, including a long frontage on the Sand River that draws extraordinary concentrations of game.
