What it is
Masoala is Madagascar at its wildest — the island's largest rainforest tumbling straight into the sea.
On a remote eastern peninsula, Masoala is the country's biggest tract of lowland rainforest, reached by boat across Antongil Bay. It holds the red ruffed lemur, found nowhere else, and the rare combination of pristine forest meeting coral reef. It is for travellers who want the real, hard-won wilderness.

Context

Hard to reach, hard to forget

Masoala is remote and wet by design — its inaccessibility is what has kept it so pristine.

It suits a rainforest-focused route for those who have time and want depth over comfort.
